The central communications office of one of the nation’s top public universities seeks a Front-End Developer to join a four-person digital team. The Front-End Developer would work alongside a Back-End and a Lead Developer to execute digital, search and content strategy for the University’s main institutional platforms. The successful candidate should be motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming, and will need to be able to translate flat design files to clean, accessible user experiences. In addition to the Digital team, the Front-End Developer will work in partnership with Art Directors and content producers in a collaborative environment that is both demanding and supportive.
Anticipated Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 Annually
Front-End executions and approaches that bring to life UX strategy, creative design or ad hoc improvements. This will include stand-alone digital storytelling (articles, video players, photography), advertising and creative campaigns, and enhancements to digital platforms including virginia.edu, brand.virginia.edu and news.virginia.edu
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or related discipline
Experience: Up to one year of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
