Senior Project Manager

What We Look for

As a Senior Project Manager you will be one of the key leaders of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for everything starting with the project sales-hand-off all the way through project completion. You will be managing complex projects from Fortune 50 companies to smaller companies in growth mode, across a wide array of industries. We consider our Project Managers as Chief Operating Officers of our projects - responsible for blocking, tackling, and paving the way for our delivery teams to get their work done without barriers or delays. This requires proactive problem solving to address challenges before they become issues as well as being able to confidently and effectively communicate with your teams and clients. Our environment calls for a Project Manager who is adaptable and open to managing constantly evolving situations with creativity and empathy. You are our client’s primary contact, keeping the project schedule, scope and budget on-track to ensure our clients are never surprised and always delighted.

Core Responsibilities

Resourcing

  • Proactively forecasts and communicates changes in project resource needs 

Scope Management & Timeline

  • Completely understands project scope and initiates our change control process when necessary
  • Analyzes and prioritizes project activities to establish realistic deadlines and expectations
  • Creates and maintains project schedules taking into account changing project priorities, milestones, and resource constraints
  • Ensures that deliverables are completed to established requirements and standards

Budget Management

  • Track project hours so that both client and internal stakeholders are aware of budget status with early notification of any budget issues
  • Follows internal process for timely review and approval of project related time sheets
  • Validate client invoice accuracy against project terms

Communications & Collaboration

  • Serve as a main point of contact for client, maintaining regular communication of project deliverables, budget status, and information needs of the project team
  • Collaborate with user experience designers, strategists, visual designers, and developers, on multiple projects
  • Fosters a positive, productive working environment, especially in stressful or pressured situations, and balances a sense of urgency with calm and confident demeanor
  • Leads weekly status calls and ongoing project and client meetings and deliverable reviews
  • Develops strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • Achieve consensus among diverse viewpoints and effectively translate ideas into prioritized, actionable steps

Problem Solving

  • Lead the project team in coming up with solutions for project challenges
  • Identifies and tracks the resolution of project risks and issues

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as a project manager in a digital agency or similar client services environment
  • Confidently make decisions for project and team
  • Effectively communicate with team members and clients
  • Flexible, organized, and open to feedback with excellent follow-through skills
  • Experience adapting project management style as appropriate for each project (waterfall versus Agile)
  • Understanding of development process: development, testing, and deployment
    • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other front-end web technologies
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain high level of organization and attention to detail
  • Comfort communicating with a wide range of personalities at all levels of the organization
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Demonstrate versatility, conviction, and a commitment to outstanding client service
  • Represent our company at all times with professionalism and integrity
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as Google’s G-Suite Tools
