Junior systems administrator

The junior systems administrator is part of the digital team that supports the marketing and development teams in developing, maintaining, and supporting HOPE’s CRM system as well as other marketing and technology tools, and organizational processes. This position serves internal users by responding to requests for support, reports, data imports, and other services at needed. The junior systems administrator participates as a member of the cross-functional CRM team with a goal of continually improving our marketing technology stack to better serve our constituents and internal users. This role also works closely with the IT group and the Salesforce Database Administrator to assist with systems upgrades, documentation, testing and validation, database clean-up and other operations as required. Additionally, this role assists in maintaining and improving data security and privacy practices and policies.

  • Support and contribute to management, maintenance, and upgrades of marketing technology stack
  • Assist with Salesforce database clean-up and organization
  • Contribute to planning, documenting, and executing new release testing and validation
  • Transition lead records to contacts records
  • Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements‬‬‬‬
  • Marketing technology operations
  • Create documentation of procedures
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Monitor system performance and batch upload processes
  • Assist in processing and organizing of feedback and ideas in our product management software
  • Provide technical support Marketing Cloud functionality
  • Provide technical support for HOPE’s digital properties and website hosting
  • Support the marketing digital team on other core tasks as needed related to website, email, analytics, and digital promotions
  • Data security and privacy
  • Assist in on-going establishment and support of processes, policies, and monitoring of data security and privacy practices as it relates to constituent data
  • Learn and keep team aware of industry best practices and changing legislations


  • Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
  • Critical thinker, active listener, and effective communicator (both written & verbal)
  • Dependable and flexible with the ability to work on multiple assignments as needed
  • 0 to 3 years Salesforce—or other cloud-based CRM platform—experience
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required (may be obtained on the job)
  • Knowledge of marketing, fundraising, or financial operations and processes a plus
  • Understanding of relational databases and data integration tools
  • Experience with programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, HTML, Java and Apex a plus
  • College degree or equivalent work or technical experience
