Black Rifle Coffee Company is disrupting the US coffee market as a premium, small-batch, roast-to-order, veteran-owned business. We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer who is obsessed with good user centric design practices with keen eye for detail to provide oversight and strategy to our customer eCommerce experience.

 The Opportunity

Black Rifle Coffee Company is experiencing explosive growth and seeks to hire a UI/UX Designer to provide leadership and vision to further develop and drive the company’s eCommerce business and user experience. You will work with cross functional teams to optimize the eCommerce business, ensure a great customer experience, and drive incremental revenue. You are competent in all facets of the design process, and exceptionally talented and skilled in interaction and information architecture design.  You are a well-rounded professional who connects the dots between business needs, innovation and good design.   You will take the brand and aesthetics of the user experience to the next level within an Agile SCRUM environment.  The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, creative and demanding team among product managers and developers, and takes pride in any challenges small or large, from optimizing a single-line message on a page or creating an entire customer experience from scratch.

 What You’ll Do as the UI/UX Designer at Black Rifle Coffee Company:

·       Assist with the assessment of current eCommerce platform and lead process to close critical feature / function gaps.  Create and execute plan to implement new solutions

·       Identify and drive solutions to increase traffic, customer acquisition and loyalty, site conversion, AOV, customer experience, and website optimization

·       Consistently seek and advocate the highest convenience and ease of functional use for our customers

·       Build a masterful understanding of our customers and their needs and pain points by leading qualitative research efforts and be their advocate throughout the rest of the organization

·       Design and implement intuitive web experiences

·       Work closely with Management and developers in a small team to develop next generation solutions for user workflows

·       Analyze customer data to inform UX changes

·       Design and implement testing strategies for UX improvements

·       Develop all user focused pages for interacting with a large web project

·       Ensure consistency across products by developing reusable design patterns, standards and guidelines for the site

·       Employ excellent communication skills to present design vision and strategy to a diverse set of stakeholders

·       Keep current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology through customer insights and industry research to keep the site at the forefront and ahead of competition while focused on ROI

What You’ll Need to Get an Interview:

·       Fluent in responsive design, mobile first UI/UX

·       3+ years’ experience in user experience, user experience management, service design or closely-related fields

·       3+ years building and leading teams

·       2+ years’ experience in user research, including conducting usability tests

·       Degree in a related discipline: user experience, interaction or interface design, human-computer interaction (or equivalent)

·       Prior experience with optimizing cross channel user experiences

·       Proven delivery of elegant user interactions that combine strong usability with an engaging experience and integrated brand communications

·       Expert literacy in design, particularly around responsive design with a mobile first approach

·       Extensive experience with Sketch and Framer as wireframing tools (paper prototyping, Balsamiq, In-vision)

·       Strong knowledge of user experience management deliverables such as personas, service blueprints, journey maps, etc.

·       Strong background in interaction design (including information architecture) and visual design skills (information design, typography, color, etc.)

·       Demonstrated experience facilitating, creating and documenting user experience strategy and best practices

·       Works smart by setting effective work goals, establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work

·       Expertise in working cross divisionally with partners of all levels to define optimal user experiences Experience participating at all stages of a project including customer insights, product strategy, conception, prototyping, and detailed design

·       Must provide a design portfolio of completed works

·       Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, agile environment and are willing to wear multiple UX hats

·       Exceptional written and verbal communication skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

·       Strong knowledge of eCommerce best practices that result in customer acquisition, retention and growth.

·       Demonstrated experience with eCommerce technology platforms and applications (webstore, OMS, CRM, etc.)

·       Ability to compile and analyze data and metrics and make decisions regarding business direction

·       Strong execution focus and enjoy working in results-oriented environment

·       Ability to be decisive even when confronted with limited information

·       Can adapt quickly in a dynamic and evolving company, market, and industry

·       Experience working with Search Engine Optimization best practices a plus

·       Veteran a plus
