Lead Web Developer

Macrostax is looking for a senior full-stack web developer to join our team and be the lead developer.

You’ll be responsible for working directly with the founder, other developer & designer contractors currently on the project, our Marketing Manager and the top Nutrition Coaches in the industry to build the Macrostax platform, currently built on Rails, Postgres, and JavaScript.

As an early stage employee, you’ll get the chance to own and build out multiple areas of the product, and be a driving force behind our evolution as a company. You will be the lead and can help hand pick developers under you to compliment your strengths and weaknesses.  

We have a solid foundation, with revenue, traction, and happy customers that love us, and we’re just getting started!

Macrostax is the fastest growing macro nutrition web app on the market, and we are changing lives every day! Your role is going to be a huge part of developing this product so that clients can make the change they desire. As the founder, I encourage my team to present and bring new ideas and experience to the table to own their role and be a big part of the business. Each member feels as if they have some control and can make a significant contribution to our success. We have had over 17,000 sign-ups since we launched a little over a year ago.   • 5+ years of building and shipping high-quality web applications
  • 3+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
  • Enjoys wearing multiple hats
  • Experienced to be put in a lead role
  • Strong understanding of fundamental technologies of the web and browser
  • Strong automated testing skills
  • Strong dev ops and application deployment skills
  • Strong desire to learn new things
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in SQL
  • Biased towards shipping
  • Experience managing, building, and leading a small team
  • Hard working, open to constructive feedback, and ready to do the best work of their career
  • US citizen or authorized to work in the US
  • Full-time position
  • Located in the Boulder/Denver area or willing to relocate
