Social Media Marketing Director

The Social Media Marketing Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of our organization’s online marketing and advertising initiatives. Their primary responsibility is to ensure their team is meeting goals, delivering creative and highly effective strategic campaigns using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations. This role will be responsible for developing, overseeing and implementing all social media initiatives, strategies, and internal communications, and customer service. They ensure the organizations message is distributed across all channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet marketing objectives.  They also seek out new ways to deliver messaging, such as mobile platforms, video and new or other social media platforms.

Skills and Requirements:

Must be both analytical and creative, and possess extensive knowledge in a variety of disciplines such as production, information technology, legal and finance.


·         You should understand best practices and trends in social media marketing and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.

·         Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition

·         Developing the marketing strategy for new and existing products

·         Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR to ensure brand consistency (e.g. print, website, blogs, emails and social media)

·         Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team

·         Ensuring that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team

·         Development and implementation of the Brand strategy that encompasses all marketing segments Plan and manage the marketing budget

·         Work closely with product management team to define marketing materials and programs

·         Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organization

·         Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends

·         Stay up-to-date with digital technology developments

·         You will work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once


Requirements of the role

·         Bachelors or Master’s degree in Marketing

·         10 years of well-rounded marketing or business development experience

·         Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles

·         Proven experience in all aspects of social media marketing

·         Extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite

·         Confident, driven and dynamic leader

·         Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original branding opportunities

·         Examples of past conversion optimization work that had significant impact in business growth

·         Strong writing and editing skills
