What is Tattly?

Tattly is a small business with a big brand that intersects the worlds of the arts, design, illustration, style, wholesale/retail, and eCommerce.  We celebrate art by licensing designs from professional artists and turning them into high-quality temporary tattoos. 

We pay a generous royalty for every Tattly sold. And we have just surpassed the $1-million mark in total royalty fees paid out to our 133 artists! That gives us  the warm and fuzzies.

We realize that Tattly isn’t solving some of our world’s biggest problems, but we do spread joy and good art. That’s a start!

The role we are looking to fill:

We are seeking a Social Media and Marketing Manager to take on the voice of Tattly. This role nurtures the 100-plus artists and an international base of dedicated customers, by communicating its story and its spirit to the public and to the media.

Responsibilities

Strong copywriting skills, a great sense of humor, and a fresh take on the language of digital culture are essential. In this role you will serve as the pulse of Tattly’s communications and will write all social media copy, press release language, and press responses.

In oder to succeed in this role, you must have fluency in and the ability to monitor multiple digital media platforms (MailChimp, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest). Your goal will be to optimize engagement on these platforms organically, and to supplement when needed with paid media. 

This role will work closely with the Design Director and the creative team on innovative, fun, and eye-catching marketing campaigns to support product launches and special partnerships. 

With an eye on analytics, you will use the eCommerce metrics and Google Analytics to inform marketing strategies and product development.

In this role you will supervise a part-time intern whose responsibilities include influencer outreach and working events to promote Tattly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Social Media / Public Relations / Marketing
  • Experience working within an eCommerce brand
  • Knowledge and experience in professionally using Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and MailChimp
  • Experience with Shopify or other eCommerce platforms and its analytics
  • Fluency in Google/Facebook analytics
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • A love and appreciation for art and design

About Tattly

Tattly was started by Tina Roth Eisenberg out of her frustration of her daughter bringing home hideous temporary tattoos. She set out to change the world of temporary tattoos and has quite unexpectedly created a new industry.

Tattly started as a side project and has grown into a healthy little company that ships temporary tattoos around the world and makes people smile. Tattly was recently featured in the NYTimes which made the team really happy.
