Who You Are

We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable full stack engineer who is passionate about clean code and great journalism to join our growing team for full-time on-site work. We welcome out-of-town applicants willing to relocate to the DC metro area but are currently unable to sponsor any candidate unauthorized to work in the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve Ollie, our custom content management system and web platform built on the Django web framework
  • Communicate and collaborate with both technical or non-technical members of the team
  • Write well-documented and maintainable Python code
  • Contribute to our existing CSS, HTML, and JavaScript codebase
  • Implement and deploy new features to or


  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Has written Python code on a team in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals and able to write clear well-documented code
  • Comfortable with Git for version control
  • Effective time management when working on multiple projects
