Solid Light Inc. is Hiring a Graphic Production Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Production Specialist reports directly to the Creative Director and supports project teams by producing print-ready graphic files, setting and maintaining color profiles, setting and maintaining type styles, resizing and editing image assets, coordinating with print vendors, producing print proofs, and ensuring quality standards are upheld. This work supports Solid Light’s vision to be the premier provider of immersive, experiential visitor experiences. The Graphic Production Specialist works closely with the fabrication team as graphics enter the Fabrication Phase to ensure graphics are correctly prepared for production and installation. They ensure production art, print production, and quality control reviews are completed in accordance with project schedules.

 

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with Design team to create graphic files for production. 
Assists to develop and implement standard practices for print production.
Collaborates with the Fabrication Director to assist Project Teams in the selection of materials for graphic substrates that accomplish the goals of design and meet the project budgets. 
Directs schedules for production batching alongside project management and fabrication.
Collaborates with Project Teams and design subcontractors to ensure project adheres to project vision, budget, and schedule. 
Responsible for quality control of graphic files and Creative Director approvals.
Primary point of contact for graphic vendors in regard to sending files, approving digital proofs, and assisting vendors with problem solving.
Manages graphic production and support on “Fab only” projects.
Provides on-site design support for the Fabrication Team.
Helps to promote Solid Light and its values and provide support in reaching its goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·        Bachelor’s degree in related subject or equivalent work experience and training.

·        Minimum of five (5) years of experience in exhibit design.

·        Proficient understanding of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.

·        Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite with particular expertise in Photoshop and InDesign.
